But yeah, you are right.... Steve was much better. My sister used to work at a day care center where one of her kids was like a 2nd cousin to that guy or something like that. She said Steve was forced to wear the long sleeve shirt because his arms are covered with tattoos. Just more useless facts.

I've been living in the US for almost 4.5 years now. Last year I was flying from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and the security officer checking the Photo Id./boarding pass at LAX airport asked me the most intelligent question of the century.
"What's the purpose of your visit to Las Vegas?":confused:
I would expect this kind of question at immigration check for international arrivals and not on domestic departures. May be took his job too seriously.
I thought of saying "Gambling, booze and girls" but just answered "Sightseeing" and he let me go :D
I also had a similar experience in Canada where an officer asked the purpose of visit to Canada in spite of showing my Canadian PR card :)

Am planning to withdraw my husband's H4 application as he wants to continue his work on EAD.
1) Would this be a problem in his GC journey?
2) If something has to go wrong with my still pending I140, our EAD will not longer be valid. Then, can I apply for his H4 in future?(keeping in mind that his H4 application has been withdrawn right now)
3) Will he need to get out of the country while we file his H4 other then stamping?
4) Am planning to go for stamping to Qubec. Anybody who has recently been there for stamping, could you pls. post your experiences both at the consulate & POE?

I have answered that question many time on this forum. USCIS, lawyers and other forum guests have not been able to answer the question of what happens to an H1 extension when the underlining I140 is revoked. So I guess the H1 is not revoked.
That sounds like a great idea except what would happen if you transfer the company and the current company revokes your I-140. The 3 year H1 extension is based on the approved I-140 but if that underlying I-140 is revoked, would the H1-B still valid or is that one of those gray areas?
I personally really like this idea. Thanks a lot for this suggestion. Didn't think of that before.

If he is EB2 ROW then go with Nov 2006...

I think you already know the answer to this...don�t change a thing. They look very professional to me...PIN sharp, well composed and the speed is just right. By freezing the action, I think it gives the impression of an explosion of speed rather than enhancing the movement. Nice one!

I don't think so, only Green cards and citizens are taxed on world wide income.
I meant the public provident fund run by the govt. We should check with a India tax expert on that, if non residents can contribute. don;t think they should have issues. PF allowed tax deduction for residents on 10% of the income, but you could always contribute as much as you wanted and top it up.
Anybody with expertise with the public PF? That would be a great if we could use that. As you said we can take off the contribution from our gross for tax purpose and also the interest rates are very high (I believe >10%), and on top of that it is not taxable when you withdraw at retirement age. I am going to ask my CA friend in India and will post the information here. However, it sounds too good to be true:D:D

I was reading the USA Today articles and I have a suggestion...guys please try to do spell check before you submit to such forums. It looks bad on us especially when we call ourselves skilled immigrants.
One glaring error that I saw was this guy with a MBA from Stanford Univ and he wrote it as "Standford Univ"......Is there a univ called "Standford"???? I tried googling it but did not find it...I hope it was not somebody from our group....
It could be key board of the computer not working right .. ;)
I will not worry too much about it . .. For those who do not have lot time to check spellings, I would suggest to put a disclaimer on the top, "you may encounter spell mistakes due to key boadd not functioning right." :D
